      Over 1500+ delegates, 85+ talks filling the silence of the serene IISC campus, The *geeks* and hackers from around the globe, IT professionals from all around the country, Top IT companies exhibiting their companies and their products, to beat it all, an overwhelming performance by the rock band "Phenom" to draw the curtains down. This was Linux Bangalore/2003!

        With speakers such as:
   
    Harald Welte! does it strike a bell? YEAH! the same iptables guy, one of the 5 netfilter/iptables core team members.

    Rasmus Lerdorf, EXACTLY! the inventor of PHP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! himself.

    Miguel De Icaza founder and leader of the GNOME foundation also co-founder CTO of Ximian. The same guy who worked on gnumeric, evolution and mono.

    Nat Friedman, the co-founder and vice president of product development at Ximian.

    Naba Kumar, the developer of an IDE for C/C++ called Anjuta for GNOME (works on KDE as well guys, no need to bother if you are the KDE kind of guy like me), Anjuta's really cool check it out on our downloads list.

    Others include Atul Chitnis, Tarique Sani, Sirtaj Singh Kang, Jeremy Zawodny, Bdale Garbee, Kishore Bhargava.

        With exhibitors such as:

    YAHOO!, INDLINUX, ANJUTA, EXOCORE, ENCORE (with their simputer), NOVELL, HP (sporting their really cool SSI clusters and Itanium 2 processor on a really cool alien looking cabinet), KDE.

        With a special screening of the movie "Revolution OS", which showed the dawn of a new-era the Open source era, with people like Richard Stallman (The GNU) and others talking against proprietary software.

        And with lot of really ultra-awesome talks by the *know-it-all* guys, the Linux Bangalore/2003 was a must visit for all the Open source philosophists.
